Who We Are

Joyfully, OCE

(Obsessively Committed to Excellence)

Joyride Branding is a Vancouver, BC based strategy, creative, and digital marketing agency that has earned a reputation for being
unapologetically awesome at building high-impact brand experiences connecting brands and target customers.

Our Approach

Building brand experiences around big ideas, we are nimble, strategic, and hands-on in helping clients market
smarter. We start by understanding your business, your customer, what’s working, what’s broken, what’s the
opportunity, and what it’s going to take. We listen hard and dig deep because that’s when the strategic framework
starts to take shape.

We will challenge your assumptions and our own, but what ultimately evolves is solution-based marketing that tells
your story, builds trust, loyalty, engagement—and ultimately—delivers a brand experience that turn customers into
raving fans.

Our Team

Joyride Branding is powered by a team of excellence-driven people with a wide range of expertise and skills. We are proud of how our diverse backgrounds collaborate and—most importantly—our shared “growth partner” attitude around valuing long term
client relationships.

Susie Doré

Brand Strategist + Copywriter

Susie has built a brand-building reputation around her hands-on, proven approach. Fanatical about crafting brand experiences that create raving fans, her breakthrough strategies have helped a wide range of brands—start-ups through international.

From the Canadian launch of Koala Springs and opening hotels and resorts with Hilton and Intrawest, to working with TD Wealth and tourism destinations including Whistler and Tofino, Susie maintains that no matter what the industry, the marketing formula is always the same. The only difference is who the customer is, how to get in their head—and while you’re there—show them, tell them, and deliver on how you’re going to solve their problem and/or make life better.

Fun Facts

Besides being borderline obsessive about golf, Susie loves to cook; explore new brunch spots and spas; spend time by, on, and under the ocean; and do what locals do at travel destinations. She also maintains you can never have too many cookbooks, lemons, gadgets, or handbags.

Joel Grenz

Digital Marketing Specialist

A dynamic and creative entrepreneur with over 15 years of experience in design and marketing, Joel is skilled in a variety of mediums and technologies. In other words, he’s a left and right brain thinker that sees the big picture and enjoys getting down to the brush strokes.

Fun Facts
When’s the last time you worked with a digital marketer with a law degree? Joel has one. He also used to play in a performing rock bank, turned down a $500K investment on CBC’s Dragons Den, and has his name on a U.S. patent. He’s got a penchant for politics, having run communications for multiple municipal, provincial, and federal election campaigns. And he and his family live on a small farm with 20-some chickens, where they enjoy lots of outdoor adventures.

Goran Kujundzic

Multimedia Web Development Specialist

When a client needs custom web functionality, Goran’s eyes light up. With close to 20 years in multimedia design, television production and custom web development, Goran thrives on developing multimedia tools and interfaces to optimize the user experience and (sometimes magically) squeeze the desired result out of any project.

From front and back end development of dynamic web projects to deploying a wide range of technologies across multiple frameworks, libraries, and programming languages, Goran is masterful.

Fun Facts
Goran’s a busy dad that enjoys reading about history and the economy, along with watching (pre-1990s) movies and TV shows. He’s a science-fiction lover and writer—including a published story—with two stories (maybe books?) in a drawer waiting for more free time.

Leanne Gillespie

Graphic Designer

Leanne brings a refreshing blend of graphic design talent and experience from both corporate and agency perspectives, with a combined 20-year portfolio. She enjoys creating visual identities for brands from the ground up, taking their quintessential x-factor and communicating it through high-impact mediums.

Fun Facts
Big loves in Leanne’s downtime include escapes to Tofino with her husband, exploring wines, and long—often creatively helpful—walks and talks with her dog.

Julianne Leekie

Graphic Designer

Julianne is a multi-skilled communicator in print and online. Following her studies in journalism, design, and communications, she has racked up more than a decade of industry experience in strategic branding, graphics, and communications. She thrives on helping clients meet their goals with strategic branding and graphics, fine-tuned messaging, and online interfaces that deliver.

Fun Facts
Julianne loves exploring BC’s backcountry with her daughter, progressing in dance with the Nia Technique, and keeping a ‘learn every day’ attitude modelled by her late grandmother who was known as ‘small but mighty.’ She’s also big on photography along with getting out trail running, kayaking, hiking, and Nordic skiing.

Bora Yenal

Videographer

When it comes to video production, Bora is as hardworking as he is meticulous. He is known for seamlessly capturing those in-between moments that create next level videography—and as shown by his body of work—Bora passionately enjoys the challenge of interpreting settings and emotions on film.

Fun Facts
Originally from Turkey, Bora likes to travel and play outdoor sports. He also cooks, specializing in vegetarian—especially Turkish salads. People often mistakenly call him Borat; you should hear his impression.
